Charles Eshbach has been guiding people in the back country and working as a professional photographer in the Keweenaw Peninsula for over forty years! He was actually Michigan Technological University’s first photographer from 1968-1985. His education is in Forestry and Natural Area Preservation, and he has worked for the Michigan Nature Association as a volunteer for 30 years and staff for 10 years — establishing nature preserves, mapping, designing and building trails.He has lead groups and conducted interpretive trips into the wilderness of Keweenaw and Isle Royale for 20 years, and in the last 3 years he has lead Eco-Interpretive hiking tours in the Keweenaw through the Keweenaw Adventure Company.
Charlie is a teacher, an editor and publisher of the Keweenaw Traveler – a visitors guide to the Keweenaw peninsula – and an author.
